The Phoenixville Economic Development Corporation (PAEDCO), a non-profit community organization committed to the revitalization of Phoenixville, wished to restore this landmark Richardsonian Romanesque stone structure, which is situated along the French Creek in Phoenixville's Historic District.

The work was executed in stages and included the roof structure rehabilitation, slate roof replacement, window and door replacement, stone and brick re-pointing, coordination of site improvements, and design of the interior shell fit-out.

The project received design approval and funding from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, as well as other funding sources. The building has since been sold to the Hankin Group, which has turned it into an event venue and conference center.
